Lodge Master's Meeting
A meeting of Lodge Master's, Master elects and Wardens was held on Saturday morning 06 September 2025. The purpose of the meeting was to give a short presentation on the duties and responsibilities of the Master of a Masonic Lodge.
This presentation was prepared with a clear purpose: to assist current and future Masters in carrying out their duties in a responsible, informed, and honourable manner.
The office of the Right Worshipful Master is to be considered as one of great trust, and with that trust comes an obligation to uphold the traditions, principles, and discipline that define Freemasonry. More importantly, everything discussed in the presentation was aligned with and grounded in the Constitution and Laws of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
This is not only to ensure correctness in our procedures, but also to preserve the integrity of our Craft, do all we can to maintain harmony within our Lodges, and promote respect for the established governance that binds us together as Freemasons.
Our aim was to provide practical guidance that can help Lodge Master's lead their Lodge with confidence, humility, and a strong sense of duty. We do hope this session offered a wee bit of insight, clarity, and support to brethren as they continue your Masonic journey.
There is quite a bit in the presentation, a lot of which is also mentioned in the Secretary/Treasurer presentation, so we have tried not to impose too much on that one.
