Lodge Macduff No.940
Lodge Macduff No.940 held a regular meeting on Monday 07 April 2025. This meeting was significant in the history of Lodge Macduff, it may well be the last meeting they have as a Lodge. They are currently in negotiations to amalgamate with Lodge Earl Haig No.1260. If discussions prove successful, a petition to amalgamate will be submitted to the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
A deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge headed by Provincial Grand Master Brother Bill Rocks was warmly welcomed into the Lodge by the Master Brother Leigh Yule.
The Degree work presented was in the First or Entered Apprentice Degree which was worked by the Brethren of Lodge Macduff assisted by various visiting Brethren. The Lodges involved in the Degree were Elgin's Lodge at Leven No.91, Lodge Randolph No.776, Lodge Wemyss No.777, Lodge Macduff No.940 and Lodge Earl Haig No.1260.
After the conclusion of the Degree work Brother Leigh Yule Master presented specially made gavels to three of the Lodge Past Masters and the Depute Master as a token of appreciation for the work they had performed over the years to keep Lodge Macduff viable.
