Elgins Lodge at Leven No.91 250th Rededication Ceremony 9th February 2013
The charter of Elgins Lodge at Leven No.91, holding on the roll of the Grand Lodge of Scotland was approved and is dated 8th February 1763. The Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason at the date of the charter was Bro. Charles Bruce 5th Earl of Elgin 1761 - 1763 from whom the Lodge takes it's name.
The 250th Rededication Ceremony of the Lodge was conducted in a very efficient manner by the Grand Lodge of Scotland on Saturday 9th February 2013. On this very special occasion in the history of Elgins Lodge at Leven No.91 the Deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland was headed by the current Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason Bro. Charles Iain Wolrige Gordon of Esslemont.
The Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife & Kinross was headed by Provincial Grand Master Bro. Rev Andrew Eadie Paterson J.P.
After the Ceremony of Rededication a celebration dinner was held at the Burns Tavern in Kennoway. The town in which the Lodge steering committee first met in 1762, in the house of Mrs Williamson on the Causeway. This was also the meeting place for the first meetings of Elgins Lodge at Leven No.91
The meal was followed by the usual toasts
