Torrie Royal Arch Chapter No.447
Torrie Royal Arch Chapter No.447, celebrated 100 years of Royal Arch Masonry on Saturday 9th March 2019 with a re-dedication ceremony held within the Masonic Hall Cairneyhill. The M.E. First Principal David Lessels welcomed a deputation from the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Fife and Kinross led by M.E. Grand Superintendent Keith Thomas into the Chapter. Included in the deputation was Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Bill Rocks representing the Provincial grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross.
Grand Director of Ceremonies M. E. Companion John Steel introduced the deputation from the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland headed by Most Excellent First Grand Principal Rev'd. Canon Joseph J. Morrow who carried out the ceremony of re-dedication in a very friendly and most efficient manner assisted by M.E. Second Grand Principal James Turnbull, M.E. Third Grand Principal David Niven , M. E. Grand Scribe Ezra Douglas Duncan and M. E. Grand Director of Ceremonies John Steel.
A presentation of a collection bowl was presented to the M. E. First Principal David Lessels on behalf of Elgin's Royal Arch Chapter by M. E. C. Andrew Wishart Third Principal of Elgin's Royal Arch Chapter No.469. The bowl had been turned by Companion John Heron a member of Elgin's Royal Arch Chapter No.469.
A celebration dinner was held afterwards in the Elgin Hotel Charleston where a fine meal was served followed by the usual toasts and replies.
