PGL 1918 Poppy Pledge
On Tuesday, 2nd April 2019, the Provincial Grand Master, Brother Stewart Quigley, accompanied by Brothers Rankin Clarkson, Provincial Grand Secretary and John Waterfield, Provincial Grand Treasurer, attended the Castle Club, Edinburgh Castle, where Poppy Scotland acknowledged the support of those who played a role in fundraising for the 1918 Poppy Pledge with a celebratory reception.
Colonel Mark Bibbey, Royal Marines (Ret), the CEO of Poppy Scotland, assisted by Brother Gordon Michie in his capacity as Head of Fundraising for Poppy Scotland, presented certificates to various organisations and individuals who contributed to the Pledge.
As well as the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross being presented with a certificate, Brothers Paul Hamilton and John Sinski, Lodge Balgonie No. 764, Paul’s Good Lady, Suzi, Brother Mark Stockdale, Lodge Oak No. 877 and Brethren representing the Widows Sons were similarly acknowledged for their individual and group efforts.
The Provincial Grand Master would, once again, thank the Brethren in the Province for their generosity and assistance in reaching the £1,918 target.
