Lodge St. John No.540

Lodge St. John No.540 hosted their annual charity event on Sunday 28 April 2024. This year, the chosen beneficiary was Blood Bikes Scotland, a volunteer-run organisation that provides critical support to the Scottish healthcare system.

Blood Bikes Scotland relies on a network of dedicated volunteers and their motorcycles to deliver blood, plasma, and other essential medical supplies to hospitals across the country. Their mission is to ensure these life-saving materials reach those who need them most, quickly and efficiently.

The afternoon event was very well supported, with attendees enjoying a captivating performance. The entertainment featured male vocalists Kirk James and John Davidson, which was compared by singer and comedian Robbie Carran.

Colin Weaver, the Junior Warden of Lodge St. John No.540, is himself a volunteer with Blood Bikes Scotland. He had the honour of receiving a cheque for £2,000,  on behalf of the charity from Brother Girvan Easton Master Lodge St. John No.540,

The event proved to be a resounding success, raising a significant sum for a worthy cause. Lodge St. John No. 540's commitment to charitable giving and Blood Bikes Scotland's dedication to patient care made  this a truly commendable partnership. Well done to everyone involved.
