Lodge Balfour Melville No.809
Lodge Balfour Melville No.809 celebrated 125 years as a Masonic Lodge on Saturday 3rd August 2019 within the Masonic Hall, Wellesley Road Methil, Fife. The Lodge was opened by Bro. James Davidson R.W.M, Office Bearers and Brethren thereafter a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross headed by the Provincial Grand Master Bro. Stewart Quigley were Piped in to the Lodge by Provincial Grand Piper Bro. Bob Ross and warmly welcomed by the R.W.M.
Provincial Grand Lodge then commenced the rededication ceremony which was carried out in an exemplary fashion by the Provincial Grand Master Bro. Stewart Quigley assisted by the Provincial Grand Wardens Bro's Derek Moore and David Hynd, Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies Bro. Eck Cuthbert and Provincial Grand Chaplain Bro. Jim Finnie. With Provincial Grand Organist Bro. Jim Scade providing the music on the organ.
Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Bill Rocks then proceeded to rededicate and invest the master with his regalia of office.
R.W.M Bro. James Davidson gave a short history of Lodge Balfour Melville No.809.
At the conclusion of the ceremony the Brethren sat down to a fine meal followed by the usual toasts.
